Rivets are a type of fastener mainly used to permanently join two or more materials. They consist of a head and a pin, inserted into a hole in the materials to be joined. The most common are stainless steel rivets. Rivets are typically used where other joining methods, such as welding, bonding or bolted connections, may be insufficient or impossible to use. They are widely used in the automotive, aerospace, construction and many other industries. Rivets are produced in different sizes, types and materials to suit specific needs. Each type of rivet has its own application depending on the specific material to be joined, strength requirements and environmental conditions.
We fulfil both standard rivet orders and those requiring unique solutions. We are able to produce rivets based on specific standards, technical drawings or detailed guidelines provided by the customer.
The process of joining by means of rivets is called riveting. It can be carried out using both special tools, such as riveting machines (which allow the mandrel to be inserted precisely and quickly into the hole, shaping the rivet accordingly) and hand tools. Riveting is a relatively fast and effective way of joining materials, enabling the creation of durable and stable joints.
Rivets are often the fasteners of choice due to their properties, low production cost and ease of use. They work well for both repetitive and individual connections. They are also an excellent solution for different types of joints, from loose joints (when it is required that the elements to be joined can change position in relation to each other) to sealed joints (when it is necessary to ensure maximum tightness when joining the elements).
